Apple Pudding (Halwa)

We recently went apple picking, and so I’ve been making a lot of apple juice. Something I realized is all the nutritious, fiber-filled pulp is going to waste right now and I wanted to try to make something new with it. From this came my apple halwa–it takes just ten minutes of preparation to create this elegant dessert. It’s also really filling, which makes it great for fasting since it’s filled with nuts, sugar, and of course the apple pulp.

Bread Pudding In Condensed Milk (Shahi Tukda with Rabadi)

is dessert is rich, tasty and very easy to make from common ingredients.  It is a bread pudding (Indian sweet of fried bread slices soaked in sweet condensed milk with spices, including saffron and cardamom). It has its roots in Awadhi cuisine and a similar dessert with roots from Hyderabad region. It is particularly prepared during the festive month of Ramadan and on Eid.

These sweet pakoras are delicious. They can be eaten hot or at room temperature. And, best of all, they’re very easy to make! If you want, add powdered sugar to them and they taste like funnel cakes!.

Cranberry Apple Slump

Apple and cranberry complement each other and makes a wonderful sweet dish. In this cobbler like dessert, they are baked with biscuit topping and the juice from the fruit bubble up and are absorbed by the topping to give it a delightful flavor. Can be served hot or cold and liked by all age groups.
