minutesNamak(salt) pare is a wonderful snack that is perfect to have at any any time of the day.
Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp ajwain
1 salt or to taste
1/3 cup water or more
3 tsp ghee
2 cups oil for frying
Directions
- First take a wide dish. Add flour, salt, ajwain, 3tbsp oil and, add water. Make a hard dough and add ghee as necessary.
- Now, divide the dough into equal sized pieces.Grease the rolling surface and the rolling pin then Roll the pieces to have a 6-7 inch diameter.
- Then, cut the circle into diamond shaped pieces using a sharp knife. To do this, first cut diagonal strips across the circle one way, and then the opposite way. Keep aside.
- Put the fry pan at slow heat and pour in the oil. When the oil starts smoking, put the dough pieces in. Deep fry until golden on both sides.Sprinkle some chaat masala.
- Ready! Enjoy with some chai! Store these in an airtight container
