Methi Malai Matar is fenugreek leaves and peas cooked in a mild and creamy gravy. It is one of those dishes that feels indulgent yet comforting — creamy, mildly sweet, aromatic, and beautifully balanced. A perfect North Indian classic for a relaxed evening. Served with a choice of Indian flat bread like roti, chapati, paratha, naan or even rice.

Soya Aloo Ki Sabji (Potatoes Dill Curry)
This curry is made from ‘Dill’ leaves which are also known as ‘Soya’ and potatoes, is extremely delicious made using simple ingredients, and has a super simple/ quick recipe. Soya is a very healthy herb commonly found during winter but available all through the year nowadays and tastes really yummy.
Pitod Ki Sabji ( Rajasthani Curry)
Pitod ki Sabzi is a traditional Rajasthani dish. This is similar to gatte ki sabzi but more delicious and tastes similar to paneer ki sabzi, but does not use any vegetable or paneer. Rajasthan is a desert state with little vegetation and that is why people are accustomed to using fresh vegetable alternatives. If there are no vegetables in your fridge and you still want to make something special then do prepare Rajasthani Pitod ki Sabzi.
Dhaba Style Butter Daal With Tandoori Roti
Dal roti is a staple food in North India. It is a wholesome food, and usually people eat it for dinner or lunch. Dhabas are roadside restaurants and dal roti is the most famous and popular dish there. Dhabas serve dals with tandoori roti (flatbread made with whole wheat and traditionally cooked in tandoor (cylindrical clay oven) hence the name tandoori). It’s almost always served with some ghee or butter on top.
Dal roti is fairly easy to make and I tried making tandoori rotis at home (using a toaster instead of the usual tandoor) and it came out pretty well. All the ingredients are typically available at home.
