This is so easy and tasty indian bread called, fulka,roti, and chapati . serve with dal and curry.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup flour for dusting

  • 2 tsp oil

  • salt to taste

  • 1/2 tsp ajwaine

  • water

  • Ghee for rosting

Directions

  • To make the dough, add ajwine, salt to the flour and mix. Then add 1tsp oil add water slowly and knead until the ingredients are combined and make a medium soft dough.
  • Now, spread the 1tsp oil in it and keep a side for about 20 minutes. and cover.
  • Divide dough into uniform-sized dough balls and then dust lightly with flour to avoid sticking.
  • Roll the dough balls into a thin round shape and cook both sides on a preheated pan until small golden spots appear.
  • Spread ghee as desired and serve. For fulka (puffed) roti use tongs and place roti directly over flame for 3 to 4 seconds after cooking on pan; the roti should fill up with air.
  • Serve with any curry or achaar.
