Moong Daal Halwa( lentil pudding)

minutesIt is very delightful dessert recipe. we’re always make any puja or festival time. everyone enjoy. try out this testy dish. Especially in winter people love this delicious dessert.
Ingredients
1 cup yellow moong dal – wash and soak for 6 to 7 hours.
½ cup sugar or to taste
½ cup ghee – or more if required
1 1/2 cup warm milk
½ cup almond – finely chopped
2 tbsp cashew nuts – broken (out of shells)
2 tbsp raisins
2 tsp cardamom powder
4 to 5 flakes saffron
Directions
- Take a ½ cup warm milk and add the saffron. Keep aside. Now, put a pan on the gas and add 1 cup water and the sugar. Let it boil, and then set aside.
- Then, grind the dal in the food processor and keep aside. Put a pan on the gas and start at slow heat. Add the ghee. When the ghee is melted, add the dal and stir for about 20 to 25 minutes. Continue to stir. See the not stick in the pan (dal) and aroma come. That means ready to add sugar.
- Now, add the sugar syrup to the dal mix and add the saffron milk, the remaining 1 cup of milk, cardamom powder, Almond, raisins, and cashew nut. Stir, and then close the gas. Cover the lid for about 5 minutes.
- Serve hot!
Notes
- Note: After grinding dal add ghee 1/3 cup, mix, then add in the fry pan with ghee. Then become easy to mix, and fast too.
