Ingredients
2 portabella mushrooms
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
Salt to taste
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1 cup pasta sauce
Green pepper, onion, olive (for toppings – feel free to add or not include toppings as you like)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 450 ‘F
- First clean the mushrooms, and then make a marinade. Take a big bowl and add oil, salt, and seasoning.
Marinate the mushrooms for at least 1 hour. Now, spread the sauce on the mushrooms and then sprinkle cheese on top.
Add the toppings, and then bake 15 to 18 minutes or until the cheese melts. - Note: A twist for this is to use pesto sauce instead of pasta sauce.
