Hot And Spicy Chilli Pickle In Water

minutesIndian Pickle is typically prepared in oil and oil incorporates lot of bad fat. This pickle is a very appealing, hot & sour in taste and can be served with any dish.
Ingredients
1 pound green chilli any kind – medium hot (As per taste, I used Serrano peppers)
3 tbsp ground mustard seed
1 tsp turmeric powder (optional)
Salt to taste ( I used 1.5 tbsp)
Directions
- Wash chillies and let the water dry.
- Have a cut along the length of each chilly.
- Take 2 cups of water and boil with green chillies on medium flame, till chillies are tender (10 minutes).
- Switch off the heat, add salt, ground mustard seed and turmeric and stir.
- After cooling, pour contents in a airtight glass jar.
- Keep in warm place for about 2-4 days till water is sour.
- Store in the fridge. Will be good for about 1 week.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- If you want remove seeds become less spicy.
- Add carrot also or any vegetables.
