Turmeric, Ginger And Garlic Relish

Turmeric, ginger and garlic are considered superfoods and supposed to have multiple health benefits including remedy for digestion, inflammation and viral infections. This recipe of finely chopped ginger, garlic and turmeric seasoned with ghee/ butter and dry spices is not only good for health especially colds and flu but also extremely tasty (though a bit spicy) when taken as a relish or side dish. But then sometimes we need alternatives to spicy pickles.

Lauki Ka Raita

Lauki ka Raita is so good and incredibly easy to make; it takes less than 5 minutes! As the weather is getting warmer, this is a great way to cool down!

Mawa Gujiya

With Holi coming around, now is a great time to make sweets! One of my favorite desserts is mawa gujiya. Gujiya is a delicious Indian sweet with a crispy outer crust, stuffed with a sweet filling. It’s made with flour, sugar, ghee, nuts, and most importantly mawa. It can also have stuffed sooji but the mawa taste is better to me. It takes a little patience, but it’s definitely worth it!

Bhapa Doi (Steamed Sweet Curd)

Bhapa Doi, or sometimes called Mishti Doi, is a very elegant and tasty Bengali dessert. Made with 2 main ingredients, curd and condensed milk with cardamom and saffron (or other ingredients) used for flavor.   It is one of the healthier and easy to make desserts with limited sugar and no oil or butter. Steaming the mixture gives it a very unique texture and taste. You can serve it warm or chilled though I prefer to eat it chilled.
Now you can have a dessert without feeling guilty-conscious.

Couscous Salad

This is one of my favorite recipes; it is absolutely delightful and incredibly healthy at the same time. I love to add lots of vegetables and make it colorful – feel free to do the same.

Moong Daal Kachori With Aloo And Chole Curry

Moong dal kachori is a very tasty and filling snack, very popular in North India. It is very delicious served as standalone but yum factor will increase when served with aloo sabji and choley along with chutney. Main ingredients are whole wheat flour and moong dal.
It is a bit of work to prepare but you will forget all the work when you enjoy the taste.
