Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
⅓ cup sugar or jaggery (or to taste)
2 tsp fennel seed
1 tsp grated coconut
⅓ tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp flax seeds ground (optional)
Oil for frying
Dry fruits (optional)
Directions
- Take a fry pan and add oil, then start on medium heat.
- Use a big bowl and add ½ cup water and dissolve the sugar or jaggery.
- Add the fennel seeds, dry fruits, coconuts, and flax seeds.
- Stir everything, then add the flour. Mix and make a batter (should not be watery).
- If required, add more water and mix, then keep aside for about 2 or 3 minutes.
- Now, use a spoon or your hands and make balls then put the balls in the oil and fry until golden brown.
- Remove the excess oil on paper towels.
- Enjoy!
