This hot, sweet and sour pineapple chutney is extremely good tasting, addictive and appealing. It can be eaten with virtually any snack or food and is very easy & quick to make. When I eat this amazing chutney, I just feel like heaven. I don’t want anything else. It’s very spicy and mouthwatering. Try out this amazing chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple – cut into small pieces

  • 2 or 3 Thai green chili – finely chopped 

  • 2 tsp ginger – chopped into small pieces (Do not to grate)

  • 2 tsp salt (or to taste) 

  • 2 tsp kalonji (Nigella or black seeds)

  • 1 tsp vinegar 

  • 2 tsp sugar (or to taste) 

  • 2 tsp honey

  • 2 tsp oil

  • Cilantro for garnish 

  • Put the fry pan on slow-medium heat and add oil. Wait until hot and then add kalonji.
  • Add ginger and green chili. Stir for about a minute.
  • Add pineapple, stir and add salt. Cover and wait for about 10 minutes. Maintain low-medium heat.
  • Add vinegar and mix very well. Wait for 3 to 4 minutes. Crush pineapple pieces and keep it chunky (Do not make chutney)
  • Add sugar and honey,  mix and keep slow heat for about 2 minutes.
  • When you see sugar caramelize, it is ready.
  • Garnish with cilantro and enjoy khatti meethi chatpati chutney.
