In India is a very popular this recipe. It’s very delicious and colorful. add as you like any vegetables. very easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup basmati rice – wash with water and then soak for 10 minutes  or more(drain before cooking)

  • ½ cup cauliflower – cut in small pieces

  • ½ cup carrot – cut in small pieces

  • ½ cup peas

  • 1/2 cup soya vadi

  • 1 medium onion – cut in small pieces

  • 1/4 cup green beans – cut in small pieces

  • 1/2 cup diced tomato or lemon juice

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp biryani masala

  • salt to taste

  • 2 tbs oil or butter same amount

  • 1 tsp cumin seed

  • 2 cup water

Directions

  • First put the oil in the pan and put the pan on the stove. When the oil starts to smoke add the cumin seeds.
  • Wait until the seeds start cracking, and then add all the vegetables and mix  for about 1 minute. Add soya vadi, mix.
  • Mix everything, and add water spices and wait until boil. Now add rice.
  • Cover the pan and keep the stove at medium heat for about 10 Mix often with a spatula.
  • Now, check to see if the the rice and vegetables are cooked. After that, turn off the gas and keep the lid on for about 2 minutes.
  • Add coriander leaves for seasoning.
  • Serve with dhai .
