Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large egg

  • 1 cup buttermilk (or just add 1 tsp vinegar to any other milk)

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 425F and spread the oil or baking cups in a 12 cup muffin tray.

  • Take another bowl and mix the butter, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla extract.
  • Slowly mix the two mixtures together until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the muffin tray.
  • Bake at 425F for about 5 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 375F, and bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
