Most of the time, we use cream cheese to spread on bread. Here’s a unique dip that has a delicious and salty flavor created by the blue cheese and port, and most importantly, it’s incredibly satisfying

Ingredients

  • 12 oz cream cheese – at room temperature

  • 2 oz unsalted butter – softened

  • 4 tbsp port

  • 10 ½ oz blue cheese – at room temperature, mashed

  • 1 tbsp snipped chives

  • 1 ½ oz walnuts – halved

Directions

  • Take a bowl and using an electric beater, mix the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  • Add the blue cheese and chives, stir until just combined.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Put the cream in a serving bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate until firm for about 4 to 5 hours or overnight.
  • Arrange the walnuts over the top of the bowl and press down lightly.
  • Serves at room temperature with celery and crusty bread.  Enjoy!
