This poori is very crispy and delicious. It can be eaten with any curry! can be serve with aloo curry also.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup sooji

  • ½ tsp salt or to taste

  • 1 tsp dry methi leaves

  • 2 tsp red chili powder or to taste

  • 1 tsp ajwain

  • warm water

  • 2 cups oil for frying or more

Directions

  • Take a large dish and add sooji, flour, ajwain, dry methi , 1 tbsp oil and red chili powder, salt. mix together.
  • Add slowly water to make a hard dough. Keep aside for 30 minutes. and spread oil on it and cover the atta dough.
  • After that, divide the dough into equal sized pieces. Put the pan on the stove and add oil and wait until the oil is hot.
  • Take a piece of dough and roll like a paratha, except smaller – about a 3 inch diameter. Deep fry in the oil and roast both sides until they are golden brown. Make every poori in the same manner.
  • Ready! Enjoy your scrumptious hot pooris! As shown in the picture, one curry that goes well with these is the pumpkin curry
